The Seven Wonder-Falls of Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka is formerly known as Ceylon. This island country is located south of the sub-continent of India. Let’s explore the beautiful and wonder-falls of Sri Lanka.

1.) St. Clair’s Falls


St. Clair's Falls are amongst the widest waterfalls in Sri Lanka or "Bomburu Ella" in Welhmada is the Widest Waterfall in Sri Lanka. It is called as the St. Clair’s Falls called, the "Little Niagara of Sri Lanka".

2.) Ravana Falls


The Ravana Falls, which is popularly known as Ravana Ella in Sinhala, is a popular tourist attraction in the country. It is one of the widest falls in Sri Lanka with a recorded height of about 25 m.

3.) Dunhinda Falls


One of the most beautiful waterfalls in Sri Lanka is the Dunhinda Falls. It is located about 5 km off Badulkla town. This fascinating natural wonder64 meters in height. It gets its name from the smoky dew drops spray,

4.) Diyaluma Falls


Diyaluma Falls is the most popular waterfalls in Sri Lanka. This wonder-fall is 220 meters in height and the second highest waterfall in Sri Lanka as the 361st highest waterfall in the world.

5.) Devon Falls


Devon Falls is an attractive waterfall in Sri Lanka. It’s named was after a pioneer English coffee planter called Devon, whose plantation is situated nearby the falls. The Waterfall is 97 meters high and ranked 19th highest in the Island.

6.) Bambarakanda Falls


Bambarakanda Falls is also known as Bambarakele Falls. This is the tallest waterfall in Sri Lanka with a height of 263 m. this awesome waterfall is rank as the Top 200 highest waterfall in the world.

7.) Baker’s Falls


Baker’s Falls is a well-known waterfall in the Sri Lanka and is part of Horton Plains National Park. It is 20 meters high.

*Bopath Ella Falls


Bopath Ella is an astounding waterfall located in the Rtanapura District of Sri Lanka. It has a shape very similar to the leaf of the Sacred Fig more popularly known as Buddha.
