Worldwide rankings of higher institutes of education are dominated by the United States and United Kingdom.
This year’s ranking is a big surprised – the long-time leader Harvard University, is unseated.
The new leader, the now so-called number ONE university in the world is California Institute of Technology (Caltech). This educational institution knocked the famous Massachusetts institution from the summit of the Times Higher Education (THE) league table for the first time in 8 years. Of the top 200 universities worldwide, 75 of which are claimed by the United States. The top 20 slots for the best universities are dominated by the US and UK with only two universities outside of US and UK – Switzerland’s Federal Institute of Technology in 15th spot and Canada’s University of Toronto in 19th.
