Proclaim your love for coffee to the world

This is the sign that welcomes me to my kitchen every morning.

Expect to see some coffee related articles on the home appliances section. There's some cool new coffee making apparatus on the market ;)

Also, a quick tip for all you coffee lovers out there. Get coasters that match your coffee table, or just simply look good on it. This way it's easier just to leave them there and so more likely for them to be there when needed.

As a student things like this don't mean much, but a little effort can keep your coffee table in better condition for longer. And it won't turn you gay!

Magnetic and chalkboard paint

The following thing is not only for children.
A very nice and unique touch for your home can be given through applying chalkboard paint!
The paint is applied just like a usual paint and then can be used just like a usual chalkboard!

But of course this paint is also very great for children. The child can draw on the wall and there would be no problems afterwards.
If you only want to paint one part of the wall and not the full wall, you should pay attention that the child can reach the part and it is not too high.

Also another great idea for not only but also a children's room might be the magnetic wall paint.

Especially people who have many things to put on walls would be thrilled by this since you can change and rearrange all you want.
There would be no tape marks or pin holes left.

Photo on your wall

I like to have pictures on the wall, but perhaps normal framed pictures and paintings aren't that interesting anymore. As you may have seen before I'm now into interesting wallpapers (see this post).
I found my way into shop called Photowall. They make wallpapers out of photos. It is possible to order wallpaper from your own photo and from ready ones too. Photo wallpapers are made with the dimensions that customer prefers. I chose few of my favourites from the photowall gallery and here they are:

Green Wall

Having a little bit of green in your house is always good. Plants can bring small bits of nature closer to you and they can be great decoration details for your home. But what about if you could build whole walls out of plants? Well, you actually can! A wall that's fully covered with plants is usually called green wall or living wall.

Preparing for...

Having a boring afternoon and thinking about something new to put on your walls? Being afraid about possible zombie invasion? There is a great solution that can solve both problems: zombie prevention kit! Zombie prevention kit can be just the thing that your home needs. It might be that you'll never need it but who knows..

You can find instructions for creating your own kit or you can browse ebay for one ready made. Naturally most people don't want to have real guns on their walls and even if some people do want, there are laws preventing that (in most countries). For decoration you can buy replica paintball gun or such and use that for your preparation kit. You can also use other weapons such as baseball bats or crowbars in your kit, they might come handy if you run out of ammos!

Decorate with plates

Here's something which can be practical and gives some color to your wall. Place dishes you use often on the rack to make it practical. You can find this kind of simple plate rack from any decoration store.

And for those plates you don't use, you can made of those a piece of art by using wall-hangers. Just group the plates in a large cluster and voila, you have a beautiful display.

You can also use plates just to give some color for neutral room with low expenses and easy installation.

Unique Wallcoverings

Plain white is a good colour to use on walls. It matches with anything and it's timeless. But wouldn't it be nice to make even just one of those walls a bit edgier? Here are some wallcoverings that I found from German Tapeten Agentur. My favourite is definitely the second one!
