The highest waterfall in the country is the 388-meter high Aliwagwag Falls, in Cateel, Davao Oriental. The cascade has 13 rapids and looks like a stairway with 84 steps of varying heights. This towering waterfall is regarded as one of the most awesomely beautiful falls not only in Mindanao but in the entire archipelago as well. This wonder-fall in Davao Oriental with an over-all height of 1,110 ft is situated in the middle of a virgin forest.
