Simple and Easy to Cook Iron-Riched Filipino Recipes You May Want To Try

The Philippines, being an archipelago, is a seafood-rich country. And we, the Filipino people, are very grateful for that. Foods that are rich in iron and iodine need not to be expensive. Try some of my personal recipes.

Squid Adobo






In order to make this recipe looks good you must learn how to clean and cut squids. The preparation and cooking of SQUID ADOBO is very simple and easy.


Cut squid into pieces, wash and drain.
In a fan, sautee garlic, onion and ginger then add squid.
Spice it up with soy sauce, vinegar, oyster sauce, msg, and laurel leaf. 
If you want it spicy simply add chopped pepper (siling labuyo).

Chicken Liver and Gizzard with Beans




Liver are iron rich source of food. In cooking this recipe, you'll be needing, chicken liver and gizzard and some spices.


Sautee garlic, onion and ginger (optional) then add cut liver and gizzard.


Mix it from time to time and wait till all water evaporated. 


Spice it up with soy sauce, msg, black pepper and bay leaf then add the beans.

Shellfish with Green Leafy


This is very simple and easy to cook recipe...and of course, a very healthy food.


Sautee ginger, garlic, onion and tomato. Add 1 cup water and let boil.


Add fish sauce or salt to taste then add msg.


Add Shellfish or locally known in the Philippines as "Tahong".


Mix for few minutes and add Moringa leaves (Malunggay).
